1 / 3Abberley Park Paddling Pool
📍 Saint Albans, Canterbury
Two distinct playground zones — one beside the paddling pool for younger children, one near the toilets for older kids. Shade sails, large trees and picnic space included. Dogs permitted on leash; owners don't always comply.
Brilliant wee park. Two awesome playgrounds. One for smaller kids by the pool and one for larger kids by the toilets. Dog friendly although dogs are meant to be on leash and people are very irresponsible especially the fact that it is a park for children and not all children like dogs. Rubbish bins available IF people bother picking up their dog poo. The pool is Brilliant for toddlers if not too cold.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and young children during warm weather, particularly those with mixed-age groups who benefit from the two separate play zones. The paddling pool is the standout feature for under-5s. Arrive early on summer days to avoid peak crowds.

“Great for toddlers, clean and the shade sails are really good. Abberly park has two playgrounds for big and little kids, and lots of spaces for picnics and play with big trees and beautiful gardens.”

“Toddler pool is nice. People leaving nappies and baby food items behind is not so nice. Why are there no bins here?”

Overview
Abberley Park pairs a shallow toddler paddling pool with two separate play areas, letting different age groups play independently. The younger zone sits alongside the pool; the older kids' equipment is near the toilets. Shade sails and mature trees keep picnic areas cool. Reviewers praise the cleanliness and overall upkeep. The park gets busy in summer and school holidays. Dog owners are required to keep dogs leashed, and this is inconsistently observed.
