We had an epic time celebrating Valentine’s Day today. The course is challenging and it will test you both mentally and physically but oh boy is it so rewarding!. The team are helpful and informative on what will happen in different scenarios and they are very chatty and always asking if you’re okay which I find great if you are a bit stuck. The Toilets are a 5 minute walk as they aren’t on the premises. Water fountain on premises and you are able to put your valuables away before beginning your climbing. The course is tricky (some of it) requiring a lot of strenuous back and forth and your upper body strength will be tested . Although this an activity more on the expensive side I think this is more than worth it for the experience. Will definitely be back for the next level of the course! Thanks team

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for active families with children aged 8 and up who are physically confident and comfortable with heights. The seven-level progression means participants choose their own ceiling β€” younger children can complete the lower pathways as adults tackle the canopy.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes you can move freely in β€” no sandals or jandals permitted on the course
⏰Leave valuables in the on-site secure storage before climbing β€” you cannot safely carry a bag on the upper levels
🎟️A base level of fitness is genuinely required for the upper pathways β€” the sixth and seventh courses are physically demanding
πŸš—Book in advance during Christchurch school holidays β€” course capacity is managed and sessions can fill

β€œWe went for a work social event and had a great time! There are a variety if different courses to suit different levels of ability - from staying close to the ground to getting right up in the canopy. Some of the obstacles were quite tough though so would recommend a base level of fitness to get through some of them. The safety system is really good and worked well, and the staff are on hand to "save you" if needed. Not for the faint of heart but a great adventure for those who are game!”

β€œAwesome way to test your fitness & get the family outdoors for a fun day. The last (optional) level is pure survival mode though, you've been warned!”
