1 / 3Alpine Crazy Putt & Village Cruisers
π Hanmer Springs, Canterbury
18-hole concrete-base course on Conical Hill Road with scenic mountain backdrop. Combo deals available with Village Cruisers. Sandflies and wind are genuine factors affecting gameplay.
You should do this activity with family. A great place to hand out and spend quality time donβt know about the negative reviews but I did find it well maintained. Do visit this place when you are in hanmer spring and itβs not expensive at all .
π Family Action Verdict
Best for casual families visiting Hanmer Springs who want a low-key outdoor activity with scenery rather than a precision putting challenge. Kids under 10 enjoy the course regardless of conditions. Competitive players or those sensitive to insects should try the alternative course in town first.

βVery well kept mini golf course with lovely scenic views. Shame about the womans attitude who demand I prove my 17 yr old daughter is still at school and was quite rude about it.β

βCame to Alpine Crazy Putt golf today. Looked great at a distance, was quite busy, but wasn't my favorite mini golf course I've ever been to. There were a few issues with the greens not being kept , loads of dirty patches and weeds growing up thru the edges and in the holes. I mean, it is what it is, it's an outdoor mini golf course, just could use a bit of love to boost it up a bit.β

βNice crazy putt atmosphere and great location. Sandflies are insane though, absolutely swarmed us and bit us beyond belief. Not sure why or what could be done but we seriously considered just abandoning our game (and money)!β

Overview
Alpine Crazy Putt sits on Conical Hill Road with a strong mountain backdrop. The concrete base causes unpredictable ball movement, and wind regularly affects play. Sandflies can swarm players across the course. Maintenance has been inconsistent β some visitors find it well-kept, others report weeds and dirty patches. Combo deals with Village Cruisers are available. A recently returfed alternative course exists elsewhere in town at the same price point.
