Such an awesome space! Auckland Climbing Gym has such a cool vibe β€” it’s more than just a rock climbing or bouldering gym. The environment is super welcoming, clean, and modern. I love all the fun extras they’ve added β€” little games, grip challenges, even chess! It’s such a great place to hang out, push yourself, or challenge your mates. The music is always on point, the staff are friendly, and the whole place has an energetic, community feel. Highly recommend checking it out whether you’re a regular climber or just want to try something new!

β€œThis was my very first time doing bouldering ever. I chose this place just because its convenient location(at CBD, close to my home and university). I came on a rainy Saturday morning so it was not as crowded as I expected. The staff was really friendly and excited to give the induction and what the bouldering was about. Compared to the Boulder Co, the space is smaller. However, I feel that they gave me a decent bouldering experience. I managed to do all V0-V2s and my body was sore the next day! I’ll definitely come back!”

β€œIt's fine. Decent weight room. Compared to modern gyms it's not great. Mostly straight walls. No kilter/moon/.. Showers are kinda dirty. Boulders are basic.”

β€œI wanted to like this place but unfortunately there was a lot to be desired. I'd like to give some constructive feedback: Please clean or replace the holds. They aren't nice to climb on, tricky to identify and can be slippery and dangerous. The problems are often more awkward than fun. Seems like they rely more on raw finger strength than technique and aren't too satisfying to finish. There were a few problems that were missing an end too and redundant holds taking up wall space. It was too hot in there for an overcast day and could really do with some bigger/more fans. This is in a good location, has nice staff and a decent amount of wall space so it's a shame to see it missing the comforts you can get from cheaper gyms in the city. I think there are some quick wins to make it tonnes more enjoyable to visit so I hope my suggestions are considered.”
