Brewtown Upper Hutt

“I dont think i go a week or two without visiting Brewtown. From family activities, Plentyfoods Super market, the coolest markets on a Sunday, the brewery bars and eateries and even better the small gigs to the even bigger concerts. As proud locals, this facility is something worth backing and raving about. We are lucky to see big bands and some of the best well run events without a doubt.”

“Love craft beer? This is as close as you could get to heaven, without going to a beer festival. Multiple Brewery's, one site. And just a 10 to 12 minute walk from Upper Hutt Railway station. Just long enough to work up a thirst, LOL. Wouldn't it be fabulous to have a shuttle from the railway station to brewtown?”

“This place is great in theory, but a bit strange and disorientating in practice. It comprises a business park type setting with a range of bars/breweries/restaurants, juxtaposed with children's play areas and an adventure park comprising an arcade, go karts, ice skating and trampoline park. It was surprising to find out that you cannot use Brewtown vouchers in the arcade as it is a "separate business" and a lot of the park was closed when we visited, so perhaps we went at the wrong time. All the activities on offer are on the premiocre side and it is a cool $50 for a family of three to set foot in the Chipmunks. The trampoline park is pretty awesome but I feel this place could do with being more cohesive and better run. All seemed a bit offputting with shades of money grab. Bathroom in the arcade was disgusting with piss all over the toilet seat.”

“Your entrance road is too narrow for large trucks and the yellow bollards in the middle make it worse. I was walking on the footpath and had no idea the truck behind me was partially driving on the footpath behind me. I could have been knocked or run over if I had moved closer to the road, unaware of the trucks position. Otherwise Brewtown itself is fun, great variety and facilities.”
