Davis Stables
đ Whitford, Auckland
Outdoor beginner riding lessons in Whitford. Multiple reviewers, including former child students, report instructor shouting at children, unsafe horses, and one allegation of intoxication during lessons. A minority report positive experiences.
đ Family Action Verdict
The recurring pattern of independent reviews describing shouting at children, unsafe horses, and an allegation of intoxication makes this venue very difficult to recommend for families with children. Parents considering it should verify current practices in person first.

âIt was just a one off ride, but I really enjoyed it. As a Newby it was a bit rough at the beginning, but had a chance to learn the fundamentals in a short time. A good place if you wish to learn. Yes, he sounds a bit rough, but he is not. đ Will ride again.â

Overview
Davis Stables offers outdoor riding lessons in Whitford. One adult beginner and one family reported positive experiences. However, several independent reviews - including from former child students - describe serious concerns: the instructor shouting at children until they cried, a nine-year-old placed on a pregnant horse, a horse that bucked, use of a lunge whip, and one allegation that the instructor arrived to lessons intoxicated. Multiple former students say their riding confidence dropped.
