âVery nice park to take my baby boy. Pity the path is a bit curvy, so we often just walk through the grass (which is quite long at times) to get to the playground. The park as a whole is spacious and fun, and has nice bits of shade too.â

âNice park but playgrounds a bit boring and the field isn't well looked after. A few shallow holes that make people/kids fall over or twist ankles. Nice area though.â

Overview
Ferrier Park in Avonhead offers a generous grassy field for sports and open play, surrounded by established trees that provide ample shade for picnicking and resting. A small playground in the park suits younger children. The pram-accessible grounds make it easy to navigate with a pushchair. The park's size and open layout make it a popular spot for casual ball games, dog walking and family gatherings. Paths wind through the grounds; the grass is also easy to traverse directly.
