We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Ferrymead heritage park and the team were so wonderful to deal with. Making sure we were all sorted leading up to the day, checking in day before and after and being so open to what we were allowed to do. This heritage park is truly a magical backdrop for your wedding and photos with such a variety of places to get them done. We absolutely loved the chapel for our wedding; it didn’t need much it was such a sweet venue and the outdoor area was perfect for a wee cocktail hour. The hall had such a wide-open space that is like a blank canvas with the kitchen being incredibly handy. So grateful for such a beautiful place in our city.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Reviewers describe the park as one that rewards a full day's visit, with the range of buildings and transport displays sustaining children and adults across different interests. The tram and train rides are highlighted as a particular drawcard for younger children. The printing workshop is praised as a hands-on experience worth booking in advance.

“This interesting Heritage Park covers many areas of the pioneering days as well as the more recent aviation & road travel (buses) era. It is worth the entry price. We could have spent most of the day here.”

“Went here for my birthday can confirm great for family with pre-teens and teens and if the the train is on bring the little ones too my only complaint is that due to lack of volunteers the trams where not running and also great place for transit enthusiasts but you do need to check the website and the company that runs the the train also the train is a different fare other than the trams and stuff its also a place where the grandparents can revisit there childhood also they can be good commentators in summery its great 👍”
