Lims Golf Driving Range
π Riverhead, Auckland
Driving range with tee boxes, distance markers, and lessons available. Reopened under new ownership after a long closure. Facility is basic, hire clubs are old and worn, and the entrance is poorly signed off the road.
I haven't been back here for years because it was in pretty bad shape at the time.if you are familer with its history. but went there today as I heard it has had upgrades" just massive well done to the owners" the tee box improvements are great" the paddock area is a little bit better but definitely have made good improvements. has become my local again, Will be back soon. Cheers"
π Family Action Verdict
Suits families with golf-curious older kids wanting relaxed, no-queue practice close to home. Set expectations low on appearance and equipment β this is a functional, basic range, not a polished facility. Beginners are welcome, and lessons are available on site.

βSo glad this is open! Guy was super chill, cost me like $25 for 100 balls and 2 clubs ( which he said I could trade for others at anytime ) and while the place does look a little sad - I love the local option!β

βGreat place to learn Golf. Come and have a lesson with Mr Lim or myself. No waiting for a bay no queues. Distance markers are all accurate unlike Takapuna and Golf Warehouse. Great valueβ

βItβs great to have this place open again. West Auckland really needed a driving range, so, happy that they have returned. The range itself is very basic and a bit run-down. The surrounding area and car park look almost abandoned at first glance, but it is operational and open. It can get very busy at times, which is actually great to see. Pricing is reasonable, especially compared to heading over to the North Shore and paying much higher ball prices if youβre not a pro. Service can be a little lax at times, with staff disappearing and some waiting involved, but overall itβs good value for money and does the job. PRICES: 100+ Balls $20 70+ Balls $16 40+ Balls $11β

Overview
Lims Golf Driving Range is West Auckland's local option for hitting balls, reopened under new ownership after a long closure. Regulars are glad it's back and note recent tee box upgrades and accurate distance markers. Reviews consistently describe it as very run-down and basic β worn turf, old hire clubs, and a car park that looks near-abandoned. It is relaxed with no bay queues. The entrance is unmarked from the road and easy to miss.
