1 / 3Minogue Park
π Forest Lake, Waikato
Minogue Park in Hamilton is a large free open-space reserve with a children's playground, lake views, bush walking tracks, a fenced dog area and an adjacent bike park. Pram-accessible paths and free parking on site.
Mostly a big open space featuring a dirty lake no good for swimming, and a patch of bush with scattered natural paths. A new fenced dog area has just opened. There is also a bike park is next door to a kids playground at the main entrance. Something for everyone here.
π Family Action Verdict
Reviewers highlight the mix of structured playground space and open natural terrain β kids move between the playground, lake path, and bush tracks in one visit. The fenced dog area is praised by families walking dogs alongside children. The adjacent bike park keeps older kids occupied while younger ones use the playground.

βLove the playground and the lake but the walkway doesnβt go all around. Every time it rains itβs too muddy to go around. The bricks on the walkway by the car park got fixed, thank you for that. Overall we like our local small park and enjoy it on a weekly basis.β

βWalk my dog here most days, awesome area for daily exercise, only thing that ruins it, are people ripping up the grass on dirtbikes.β

Overview
Minogue Park is a spacious free reserve in Hamilton, combining a children's playground with natural open space and lake views. Bush paths wind through scattered native growth, and a fenced dog area opened recently. The adjacent bike park draws older kids on bikes and scooters. Pram-accessible paths and free parking make it accessible for families with young children. The lake and surrounding bush give the park a natural feel rarely found this close to the city centre. Free entry.
