Monorgan Road Play Area

“Playground upgraded in 2026 so ignore older pics. This playground has it all! Small and large structures for all ages, including a single wavy slide and side-by side straight slides. A balance course across wooden logs, a rope bridge, and a net. Good to see the old tree was kept; popular for climbing. Also has a roundabout (fast...for now), a springy seesaw, and a variety of swings including dish, flat seat, rubber strap seat, accessible swing, and toddler. A big plane with monkey bars replaces the old helicopter. All next to a big field with a bike path to ride around (or would be, except there's currently a rather large stinky puddle blocking the path; hopefully will be tidied up soon). Flying fox easy to use and not too fast, though location between the bike path and rest of playground means watch your kids don't get bowled! Public toilet and drinking fountain and looks like there are poles for a shade sail when it gets hotter. Two picnic tables and a few more seats about the place, with a fringe of trees around the edges providing shade all year round.”

“Known as "The helicopter playground". The playground is well equipped with swings, slides, climbing activities and a big bike track. There is a basketball half court in the corner. There are toilets located near the playground and a water fountain. Generally fairly sheltered from the wind and there is some shade offered by trees on the park edge.”

“A neat place to bring children of all ages. Has upgraded equipment of different challenge levels PLUS a winding path encompassing and circling the larger grass area for use by anything on wheels. It still has a helicopter to climb on which my children enjoyed back I the day.”
