The 60m bridge replaces the original Jubilee Bridge, which was closed in July 2023 for the safety reasons It's not just a beautiful bridge, but it's got functional purpose as well for people's daily lives. So many people come, not just the locals, but people come from around Auckland to exercise and they do a loop around the basin.” The bridge includes 30 tukutuku-like panels that respond to wind and light. As the wind blows, it actually influences and changes the colours on the bridge,It actively responds to the environment... During the day it’s an awesome bridge to walk over, and by the evening... it changes colours.”

“You can power walk the whole reserve or take your time and enjoy the scenery. Lots of benches to take a rest and some parts have a hand rail if you need that extra help walking up hill. Playground for kids, a dock if u want to get closer to the water. At your cost theres a train ride and miniature boats. Good for all ages.”
