đ Sumner, Canterbury
Sumnervale Reserve Playground at 43A Sumnervale Drive is a small free council playground tucked away from Sumner township. Quieter than the central Sumner playgrounds, with a leafy natural setting. No toilets nearby.
Cute little playground tucked away at the back of Sumner. I went on a Saturday lunchtime and there was no one else there. The playground is surrounded by nature. It is very beautiful. There are no toilets nearby though. Would recommend if you want to go to a playground with no one else. Otherwise its a bit out of the way from the main Sumner township.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families wanting a quieter playground stop than the central Sumner ones â surrounded by nature, often empty even on weekends. Plan around the lack of nearby toilets.
