1 / 3The New Zealand Agricultural Show
đ Halswell, Canterbury
New Zealand's largest agricultural event, three days each November at Canterbury Agricultural Park. Live animals, petting area, carnival rides, live music, and hundreds of food and trade stalls.
I so enjoyed going to the Santa Parade đ yesterday at the Agricultural Centre in Christchurch. First time for a few years, it has been run. The children's faces and excitement was priceless, as the floats kept coming along the tiny roading area. The weather was stunning. Well done to all the people that were involved with bringing back our Christmas Parade.đ
đ Family Action Verdict
An exceptional annual outing for families with children of any age. Urban kids get rare hands-on animal time, little ones love the petting area, and older children can tackle the bigger amusement rides. Plan for a full day â there is genuinely too much to fit into a short visit.

âGreat day for the kids and also the parents. Amusement rides cater for all levels. Great ability to get up and close to the animals as well as petting area for the small kids. Stalls are informative as well as selling and great ability to connect with what is happening in the rural area when they come to our doorstep once a year.â
