This experience was so much fun (you have to try it)! This is my 2nd time land-sailing (my 1st was in Bonaire) and I enjoyed it again. Ian and his team were great in assisting us and my mom enjoyed this experience as it was her 1st time. It's definitely an activity we would do again and in multiple places.

“Combi of surfing & go kart. Powered by wind. There’s no brake. You’ll learn to ride by pulling and releasing rope on hand. When winds are strong, there’s where you get the thrill😆 We definitely had fun! Thank you for serving us ☺️”

Velocity Karts runs blokart land sailing for ages 8 and above, harnessing Canterbury's coastal winds to power three-wheeled sailing karts. Speed is controlled by pulling and releasing a hand rope — no brakes, full wind. Tandem karts accommodate younger children. Electric drift karts run on a smooth concrete track for ages 12 and above. Human foosball is available for groups. All activities include a safety briefing and instruction from trained staff.
