This was a new experience for us. We had a wet day in Wanaka and had heard about "clip and climb" for younger kids, our daughter is 3 and we did wonder if it might be a bit too much for her, but we were wrong! The staff were great with all of us and allowed us to explore the different walls, we had a great hour and they were all kid friendly. Our daughter probably her her favourite day of our holiday at Basecamp. I would thoroughly recommend if you need something to do in Wanaka with kids. I can't comment on the lead climbing or bouldering, but there was a kids club on when we left and they looked like they were having a great time!

“We did the Learn to Lead day course led by Isaac. It was very informative and enjoyable, we felt like we made a lot of progress. It catered well to our abilities. They explained the gear and safety very well. It was lovely to get outside and climb some rock. Would definitely recommend”
