Really impressed with Boulder Co Christchurch! I'm from Auckland. The space is always spotless, the climbs are fun and accessible for beginners like me and the staff are super friendly and know their stuff. The café area is perfect for chilling out after a session and I love their flat whites. Bathrooms are surprisingly fancy super clean with great showers and a foot bath, which is such a nice touch. The gym also has a good range of equipment and weights. Overall I’m really happy and would recommend it to all fitness levels and age groups.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A well-equipped bouldering venue that works for mixed-age and mixed-ability family groups. The Boulder Kids zone engages younger children independently as older kids and adults tackle progressively harder walls. The on-site café and free parking make it a practical full-session destination.

“Awesome bouldering locale.... Good size, lots of routes and varying walls. Big overhangs, a cave, slab and everything in between. They have shoe and chalk rentals which was nice considering I didn't bring mine travelling. There is also a nice little cafe, kids area and weight room inside. Great for everyone from beginners to advanced climbers. Highly recommend for a quick or long sesh!”

“They've got a huge, well-designed climbing area (700sqm!) with diverse routes for all levels – from beginner slabs to challenging overhangs. The holds are top-notch and feel fresh (they are currently very new). Toilets have a foot bath! Great feature. Beyond climbing, the fitness area is reasonable with a few machines and free weights. The "Boulder Kids" zone is a plus for families, keeping the little ones out of the way of adults/entertained. There's a cafe/bar for a quick bite and beer or cookie and coffee. My only minor: if paying cash for a casual visit, be aware they don't have change. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind! Overall, a good climbing gym with great facilities and a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend checking it out!”
