CCR Raceway is home to Kartsport Hawkes Bay on a circuit mixing fast straights and technical corners. Club members run beginner sessions with a full safety briefing and track walk-through. Regarded as one of the better tracks in the North Island.
My 10 year old son recently asked me if he could learn to drive a kart. I got hold of kartsport hb and he had the time of his life!! The clubmembers organised a drive for him and a friend.. this started with trying karts for size etc and then a walk around the track to brief them on how to get around it....where to drive and not to drive. They were safety focused and very friendly with the kids and everyone was well informed as to how everything works. W The atmosphere is cheerful yet serious...with a really great group of people to talk to about getting into karting.
