1 / 2Craigavon Park
đ Blockhouse Bay, Auckland
Craigavon Park combines bush walking tracks through native forest, a riverside section, open lawns, a children's playground and a dedicated off-leash dog area. Exercise stations dot the trails. Parking and toilets on site.
Great family and pet friendly park. Lots of parking and toilets available. Cool exercise stations around the trails too. Alot of people use this area which is very cool. Big green area in a very built up housing area
đ Family Action Verdict
The bush trails feel genuinely wild for a suburban reserve â native forest, stream sections and open space across one connected circuit. The playground and open grass cater to younger children. Dog owners and families share the space well across most of the reserve, with the playground zone clearly separated from the off-leash area.

âFave dog walking park. Lots of varied off leash through woods, rivers and open space. You can park up right next to it too, opp end from playground (that area isn't off leash).â

âGreat playground for kids. It is also surrounded by loads of open space for them to explore! Often used by a lot of dog walkers too.â

âAwesome dog park, so many friendly dogs come here to meet each other for the first time or see again their regular dog friends. Can have your dog on or off their leash. Lovely open bush walk can also take your kids here to play at the playground. Some exercise stops for you to get a little workout in đ some Awesome big fields you can let your dog off to play catch or just get some cardio in for the dog and yourself đ in the centre theirs a playground for the dogs to play in, quite basic but fun for smaller dogs I've noticed. BYO water bottles as no water taps around. Public toilets next to the playground. Lots of off street parking around the entire park or at the kids playground.â

Overview
Set in a green valley in Blockhouse Bay, Craigavon Park runs bush walking tracks through native forest and alongside a stream, with open lawns and a dedicated playground at one end of the reserve. The off-leash section through the bush is one of West Auckland's most varied dog-walking routes â woods, river access and open space across the same circuit. Exercise stations are dotted along the trails. Parking sits directly adjacent to the reserve with toilets on site.
