đ Alicetown, Wellington
One of New Zealand's first climbing gyms, established 1999. Bouldering walls across three areas including a cave section, top rope and lead climbing routes. Indoor venue with shoe and chalk rental, membership options, and staff who guide newcomers.
Fantastic climbing gym. Lots of routes for top roping or leading. Great bouldering in 2 rooms, including a cool little cave. Even has one of those lighting training boards. Friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Very well priced safety equipment, even better if you are a member. Membership pays for itself in 1 visit a week!
đ Family Action Verdict
Staff here take newcomers seriously â Oli and the team walked the group through every section and made sure everyone knew how things worked before starting. Three bouldering areas including a cool little cave means kids rarely run out of new things to try.

âOli was super friendly and good at walking us through the facilities and made sure we knew where everything was and how things are done, its usually very quiet on weekdays you basically get the whole place to yourself, a little busier on weekends. Would recommendâ
