Hayman Park Playground
π Manukau City Centre, Auckland
A large multi-level playground in Manukau with rock climbing walls, bridge tunnels, flying foxes, a skate area, and tall slides. Adjacent to Westfield mall with parking and easy road access.
This is a very large kids playground on the popular Hayman Park in Manukau. The location is easily accessible by road and proximity to the Westfield mall also makes it a very good place to bring kids while one can shop in the mall. We spent a couple of hours and kids enjoyed it to the core. There is a kids skatepark installed, along with an advanced skatepark for adults too. A tree house style structure is built here which had many rides and bridges joined to it. Flying fox ride is also installed here, which is very popular with kids. Public toilets are available on the playground. Parking can be an issue since a lot of people visit here on weekends, however one can park in the nearby car parking lots which are open to the public on weekends and non office hours, as mentioned on the displays. Overall well recommended.
π Family Action Verdict
One of the biggest playground setups in South Auckland β multi-level climbing, flying foxes, and a skate area that suits school-age kids and gives adults reasons to climb too.

βThis is an awesome park for All Ages. There are multiple levels to climb & make your way to the top including rock climbing, bridge tunnel, & top tier that brings you to the entrance of a slide bringing you back to the bottom. Underneath this tower of fun is shaded sensory play including a beautifully sounding xylophone & chimes. On the other side of the tower is a more toddler friendly climb & slide area. There is seating near the play areas and their is also large grass play areas for families & a skate bowl too. And let's not forget the Roundabout & Flying Fox! Accessible toilet block on site, with the train & bus station right next to you & a few minutes walk to manukau mall & food court. Awesome park & surrounding areaβ

βGreat place to take the kids. Big enough for parents to climb and play with their kids if wanted. Some parts are still fenced off and being constructed but still a lot of space for kids to run around and use up energy. Massive skate bowl, 2x flying foxes, sandpit etc. There is something to keep every child entertainedβ

βGreat place to take your kids. Itβs not the best for under 5s. Great for the older ones. Parking is a bit tight, plan to park and walk to itβ

Overview
Hayman Park Playground spans multiple levels β rock climbing faces, bridge tunnels, and a top tier opening onto long slides. Flying foxes and a skate area extend the action for school-age kids and adults willing to join in. The structure is large enough for parents to climb alongside children. New sections continue to open as the facility grows. Westfield mall sits close by with parking a five-minute walk from the playground.
