1 / 2Light House Cuba
📍 Te Aro, Wellington
Light House Cuba on Cuba Street offers intimate couch-style seating, art-house and current releases, and the Lighthouse Littles series — dedicated baby-friendly screenings for new parents.
A charming, art-house-style cinema with a cosy and warm ambiance. I’m a regular to this cinema. The intimate screening room allows alcohol like wine, hot beverages like coffee (comes with a delicious Jaffa chocolate ball which is a nice classy touch), food such as cakes, savory pastries and finger snacks (chips, chocolates, cookies), etc. inside the theatre. Seating is incredibly comfortable- the velvet seats are paired, and even come with cushions! The cinemas are a good size and intimate, not cavernous and large as commercial cinemas. The staff are always polite, friendly and attentive- sometimes adding a personal touch with a small speech before a special film starts. Would definitely recommend, although I do wish they have popcorn!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Lighthouse Littles is the standout for new parents — staff brief you on the format, offer help throughout, and the intimate room means a restless baby is never a source of stress.

“Lighthouse Cinema Cuba may just be my new favourite place to catch a movie!. On a recent visit to Wellington my daughter and I (both avid movie fans!) popped in to see a movie we were both very much looking forward to seeing. I loved the intimacy of the exclusive small theater with super comfortable couches, seats, and cushions all adding to the relaxed, homely yet elegant atmosphere. We even chatted to the few other patrons who were there before and after the film. It was just lovely! I Highly Recommend a visit if you're in the Capital and I look forward to returning :)”

“We went to the bring your baby “Lighthouse littles” session yesterday. The staff were absolutely lovely. As a new mum it was so nice to have such friendly and accommodating staff. They explained how it would work and offered their help if we needed anything. Will definitely go back :)”
