A motorsport day out that delivers genuine speed and noise in a well-organised setting - the sunken burnout pad puts spectators right at the action, and weekend events have enough variety to hold attention across a full day.

Overview
Masterton Motorplex is one of New Zealand’s premier drag racing venues and a fantastic place for families to experience the sights, sounds and excitement of motorsport up close.
Best of all for families, kids 14 and under get in FREE at our events, making a day at the drags an affordable and memorable family outing.
Located just outside Masterton, the Motorplex hosts a range of events throughout the drag racing season, from full championship drag racing meetings to burnout competitions, special events and relaxed participation days where everyday drivers can get involved.
Spectators can get close to the action, with excellent viewing along the track and grandstand seating available for those who prefer to sit back in the shade. Our purpose-built burnout pad is sunk below spectator level, giving fans around the fence line a great unobstructed view while the action happens right in front of them.
Spectators also have free access to the pits, giving families the chance to walk among the race cars, see the crews at work and get a much closer look at the vehicles competing on track.
Food and beverage vendors are available at many events, and families are also welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks.
There’s plenty to see throughout the day, with everything from street cars and classic muscle cars through to some of the quickest and most spectacular drag racing vehicles in the country.
Many of our larger weekend events also cater for visitors travelling from further afield, including space for camper vans to stay on-site.
Whether you’re already a motorsport fan or simply looking for something different to do with the family, a day at Masterton Motorplex is loud, exciting, friendly and a lot of fun.
