1 / 3Norman Kirk Memorial Pool
đ Lyttelton, Canterbury
Norman Kirk Memorial Pool is a seasonal outdoor community pool in Lyttelton offering dedicated lap-swimming lanes, clean facilities, and a friendly atmosphere as a quieter alternative to Christchurch's larger pools.
Very happy that you keep 2 lanes free for lap swimming even at the weeknd. Very clean facilities. Friendly staff.
đ Family Action Verdict
A good choice for families in the Lyttelton area who want a quieter, community-scale swim. The reserved lap lanes are a practical feature for adults who want to swim lengths as children splash in the main pool. Check ahead for current access arrangements as seasonal policies apply.

âGreat there is a pool in this part of the City as Pioneer pool is crowded and awful water quality. It's just a shame this one isn't bigger ir at least deeper at one end to enable aqua jogging. Friendly staffâ

âThe pool itself is great, the only downsides are 1 the season is quite short, 2 its usually open to people who have bought a key for the season rather than having staff to pay to get in.â
