A compact outdoor playground next to Te Atatū Peninsula library with a boat play structure, slide, and swings under established shade trees. Green space surrounds the equipment with a picnic table and public toilets on site. Entry is free.
Lovely playground right by the library! Great to let the young ones run around and burn off energy, followed by relax time with a book! Great in the centre of the Pen.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Parents combining a library visit with outdoor play get the most from this spot — kids can run off energy after story time without travelling further. The shaded setting under mature trees makes it comfortable on warm days. The boat structure is a consistent favourite with younger children.

“This is a small playground ajacent to the library and community center. It is handy due to the location. It is generally well maintained and there are public toilets there. It also has lots of green space, a small seating area for performances, a picnic table by the play area and benches. I would have rated it higher but the lower amount of equipment means it can easily be too busy on sunny days and it is not adequetly fenced and next to two roads. It is challenging with young children that like to run off.”

“Very small, 1 tiny side, small climbing frame, spin thing and only 2 small swings - one for infants and toddlers. OK for quick play next to library but wouldn't recommend”
