Outdoor skate park with bowl and street sections, on-site toilets, BBQs, parking, and a nearby kids' playground. Reviews are divided — some enjoy it, but skaters repeatedly criticise the wavy, uneven concrete and poor flow.

Great park to take the kids old and small. Every time I've gone with my 6 - 10 yr Olds the older one have always been mindful. One older kid was teaching my son to do a trick. Toilets on site, food and drinks at the shops close by - 4 minute walk.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Works for casual sessions, younger kids using the nearby playground, and intermediate skaters who can handle imperfect surfaces. Serious and beginner skaters alike voice frustration — the concrete is repeatedly described as wavy and the obstacle flow as awkward. The community and amenities are consistent bright spots.

The bowl gets way too much hate, yes it’s a little wavy in parts but it still skates well and has Heaps of things to try, clean bbqs, toilets and plenty of shops nearby. Downsides are, wind, street section is pretty average and far away from the main park and there is also lack of ridable paths towards the burger fuel shop area. Lots of fun to be had here!

Excellent skatepark for all ages. Will be even better when the rest is complete. There is a smaller kids playground nearby and sensory area. Toilets onsite and large parking spaces all near it, also wifi and usb charging available .

Overview

Rolleston Skate Park has a bowl, a street section, on-site toilets, clean BBQs, and a nearby kids' playground for younger siblings. Shops are a short walk away. Opinion is sharply divided: some families and casual users find it clean, welcoming, and fun, and note older skaters helping beginners. However, many experienced skaters criticise the build heavily — waves and bumps in the concrete, obstacles that are hard to hit, and flow they say wasn't designed by skaters.
