1 / 2Roseneath Park & Lookout
π Roseneath, Wellington
Roseneath Park sits below street level in Wellington, invisible from the road above. The centrepiece is a long slide with sharp bends enjoyed by adults and children alike. Panoramic views over Oriental Bay and Wellington harbour.
A nice little gem hidden from the roadside. Its a beautiful little park and play area for kids that is not visible while driving and can be missed easily. You have to park on street and then walk through the bus stop to the left downstairs for reaching here. Parking is an issue but the park is worth it. Kids loved it. The views of oriental bay are awesome. You can sit on grass and there are two tables for picnic. There are swings, a seesaw, a boat to play, climbing board, and a very long slide.
π Family Action Verdict
One of Wellington's best-kept playground secrets. The long twisting slide earns genuine squeals from every age group, and the harbour views reward the hunt to find it. Best visited on a clear day when the Oriental Bay panorama is at its sharpest. Arrive early on weekends to secure street parking.

βLoads of fun! Park at the top and slide on down. Plenty of fun for the young ones and oldies alike. The slide is a decent size and has some funky bends. Good spot to get a view of the city from a different perspective. Would be an ideal spot at night to view the fireworks or city lights.β
