“Cool playground for older kids and there a water play area too. Also handy is the store selling crepes, ice cream and drinks on site so you can grab a bite while the kids play.”

“A small playground with a good variety of equipment (swings, spin buckets, etc.) for younger kids (while older children occupy themselves on the skate-boarding ramps close by?). Park seating and cafe furniture ensures parents and carers can relax with a coffee or refuel from the Waitangi Park Cafe located onsite. Some of the play equipment look fun enough to attract even the adults! From here it is just a stone's throw to the Oriental Beach Playground, Oriental Bay Beach or Esplanade for a stroll or a bite to round off your day. There's even toilets handily located behind the cafe next to the petanque square so your day-trip can proceed smoothly.”

“Has not aged well. Only really suitable for older children, so not great for families or younger children. No swing for younger children and the slide is inaccessible unless. Water, sand play area is okay, but was broken when we visited.”
