Such a beautiful Alpaca Stud ran by 2 of the sweetest people I've ever met. You can drop by for a tour (no reservation needed) during which you can feed multiple Alpaca's on their pastures while getting personal commentary by the owners about their animals, how they run the farm, how they started, specifics about alpacas and so on. The Alpacas are so well kept, beautiful colors and hair types, one of their animals even won the "Supreme" title last year, which clearly reflects how well they're breeding and treating their beautiful animals. They had multiple baby and teen Alpaca running around, enjoying themselves in the herd. They have a very nice shop with beautiful, handmade Alpaca clothes and gifts for very reasonable prices! Really a must stop when coming from or going to Christchurch 🤩

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families wanting a relaxed, walk-in alpaca experience — no booking pressure, open daily. Reviewers consistently name owners (Nonie) and call out the friendly hand-feeding format. Closer to Christchurch than the Banks Peninsula alpaca farms.

We found this place on Google Maps and didn’t make a booking in advance. The website said walk-ins were welcome, which was super convenient for us. It’s only about 15 minutes from Christchurch. Nonie, the host, was incredibly kind and friendly. They explained everything clearly and guided us through the tour in a very warm, personal way. All the alpacas were so clean, cute, and unbelievably soft, and they looked very happy and well cared for. Feeding them by hand was so much fun and such a memorable experience for us. We absolutely loved it and highly recommend visiting if you’re around — you won’t be disappointed! 🦙✨

We had the most amazing time in Linsay and Sheryl’s farm. We were the only group that day so we get to interact and feed the alpacas as much as we can. The owner gave us as much sweet grass to feed them as needed but I was busy taking pictures and patting them! Sheryl explained and taught us so much we didn’t know about alpacas. She named all of them and all the alpacas are so friendly and clean and cute! I would definitely recommend my friends to go here again!

Had the most amazing experience here meeting and feeding the alpacas, who were all friendly and calm. Lindsay took our family on a guided tour around the farm, where we met alpacas of various sizes, colours, and fleece types - including the 2025 Suri winner and several pregnant alpacas. He was highly knowledgeable about the animals and we also learnt a lot! It was an incredible experience and an absolute highlight of our trip! 🦙🤩
