Well that was a bit of a surprise ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I went for an early morning walk ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ at a beautiful off leash ๐Ÿ• park and then smack in the middle of the park was an open air swimming ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ pool! It was so unexpected ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I quickly went and got my togs ๐Ÿฉฑfrom the car ๐Ÿš— (I often have a spare pair). The water ๐Ÿ’ง in the main pool was cool and refreshing ๐Ÿ˜Ž There is a spa as well. There were no bubbles ๐Ÿซง but the water was nice and warm โ˜บ๏ธ There are lots of picnic benches and umbrellas โ›ฑ๏ธ with BBQ facilities, lockers, outdoor shower, hydroslide, sun loungers, and changing rooms. The pool is very shallow, with 0.5m - 1m. I guess ๐Ÿคท it's more geared towards kids ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿง’ and lane swimmers ๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ The spa was 1.2m, but the seating is so high, your feet ๐Ÿ‘ฃ don't touch the ground, and you're more than halfway out of the water ๐Ÿ’ง Unfortunately the pool is completely uncovered so when the sun came ๐ŸŒž I left. With a bit of adjustment, it was actually a lovely ๐Ÿ˜ dip. The casual rate is $8 per adult, and they have togs on sale for those who stumbled upon it, like me ๐Ÿ˜† The park itself is also beautiful โค๏ธ There are dog friendly off leash areas, with paved walkways ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธincredible views over the harbour and a play area ๐Ÿ›

๐Ÿ† Family Action Verdict

Reviewers describe stumbling onto a full outdoor pool complex with sweeping harbour and Sky Tower views as a genuine surprise. The shallow depth suits young swimmers, and the slides, inflatables, BBQs, and playground make a half-day outing easy. Staff are helpful and BBQ rental includes clean-up โ€” post-swim dinner at the park is straightforward.

โ€œWonderful spot right next to the Ocean. The swimming pools are free for kids 16 and under for memory and it's pretty cheap for adults or spectators. If you want to use the diving boards in the deep dive pool I think it's a few dollars, otherwise kids swim free. We rented the BBQ and brought food in for dinner which was awesome as the kids ate and went straight back to swimming..easy week night summer entertainment that costs next to nothing. Staff were really helpful and the BBQ rental also includes it being cleaned by staff...too easy!โ€
