Small but lovely sanctuary we swung past whilst driving through Blenheim. Alex was absolutely great and was willing to share lots of information about the great work they do. It's great they allow you to interact with the residents. Highly recommended visit.

Te Paranui Animal Sanctuary at 1310 State Highway 1 near Tuamarina houses rescued greyhounds, alpacas, donkeys, horses, cows, sheep, pigs, rabbits, and cats. Visitors interact with animals in a dedicated visitor area and feed pellets to larger animals over the fence. The EARTHBOUND Kitchen serves plant-based meals. Accommodation is available for overnight stays. School group bookings and birthday or private group visits are accepted by arrangement. Open days run Saturdays, weather permitting.
