1 / 2Tui Glen Playground
📍 Henderson, Auckland
Tui Glen Playground features a flying fox, climbing equipment, and generous tree canopy shade, with a separate toddler section. Wave pools sit 100 metres away across a footbridge. Ample picnic seating throughout.
Alway a very good place to take the kids for a play around. The playground is well set out and always clean and tidy. Lots to climb on and we'll set out. Love the flying fox and the trees and seating. Parking can be hard at peak times but usually good. Wave pools are just 100m away across the foot bridge and there are fields next door for sports etc. Cool as spot
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A reliable Auckland playground for families spanning toddlers to 10-year-olds — the shade keeps parents comfortable, the flying fox keeps older kids busy, and the separate toddler section stops little ones getting caught up in bigger equipment. The proximity to wave pools makes a combined outing straightforward.

“Great playground and facilities. Beware of the “real fruit ice cream” van that comes around - paid $11.50 for a mango ice cream that was just vanilla. Told him this and he insisted it was mango 🙄 Coffee was also terrible. Tried to support the guy for hustling on a Sunday and I don’t like leaving bad reviews but don’t want anyone else to have a bad experience.”

“Fantastic! Plenty for the big kids to enjoy and an area for the little ones, too (although the park is definitely better suited to older children). LOVE the shade, the plentiful spots for Mum and Dad to sit, and the beautiful park setting with picnic spots nearby. We’ll be back!”

“Such a cool playground, especially for kids 6-10 years old. Lots of shade as well, which is a relief in the heat of summer.”

Overview
Tui Glen Playground offers exceptional tree canopy shade across the main play area — a genuine asset on hot Auckland days. The flying fox and varied climbing equipment are the primary draws for older children. A smaller, original playground section serves toddlers separately from the main equipment. Multiple picnic tables and parent seating are spread throughout the space. Wave pools are 100 metres away across a footbridge. The playground sits on a one-way road — watch for traffic on arrival.
