1 / 3Wonderworld aMAZEment Park
π Tikitere, Bay of Plenty
Best for puzzle-loving kids aged about four to twelve. A maze park east of Rotorua with a 1.7 kilometre bridge-linked mega maze, timber wall mazes, a glow-in-the-dark neon cave, a scavenger hunt, giant games, a small playground and resident rabbits.
Such a great family activity! My son had a great time in all the mazes and loved stumbling across the rabbits and guinea pigs. We couldn't get to the green hut and gave up - very challenging for adults. The park is very clean, well kept, beautiful souls who own and run it. It is such a funnand magical gem. Well worth the 2 hours! Thank you team!
π Family Action Verdict
A gentle, screen-free couple of hours that rewards patience and teamwork; a seven-year-old can conquer the four corners with a parent while toddlers potter in the playground and look for rabbits. Wear sneakers, bring snacks and water since there is no cafe, and ring ahead if heavy rain is forecast.

βMy son and I visited he is 7 and we completed the 4 corners and then enjoyed the rest, it looks fantastic!!!! All this place needs is a few bbqs and it will go off in summer. Very friendly staff, we reminisced about video stores and all the things the early 90s had to offer.β

The main event is a 1.7 kilometre 3D maze with bridges linking its levels, backed by five timber wall mazes, a colour maze, a rope maze and a neon cave lit in the dark. A scavenger hunt through the mazes ends in a small prize, and between puzzles there are giant games, a playground for little ones and rabbits and guinea pigs to find.
