Playgrounds in Glen Eden

Parrs Park on West Coast Road is West Auckland's big one: an 11 metre, four-level climbing tower with two big slides, New Zealand's first giant birds nest swing, an interactive sand and water play area, plus a skate path and basketball half courts, with toilets and easy parking.

Ceramco Park on Glendale Road, also known by its Māori name Ōkaurirahi, was built on an old clay pit from West Auckland's brick and pottery era. Today it stacks a playground, a beginner-friendly skate bowl with a grind rail and a full athletics field along the Waikumete Stream walking path.

Those two do the heavy lifting for the suburb: the remaining reserves nearby are small neighbourhood stops rather than destinations, so start with Parrs or Ceramco and keep the locals for everyday plays.
