“Stayed 3 nights in cabin that sleeps 5. Very comfortable beds. Very clean. Lovely. Had everything we needed. Ablution block and kitchen were serviced really well. Spotless. Pool and spa are wonderful and pool is drained each night. On one afternoon however a child crapped in the pool so it was closed for the rest of the afternoon/evening as it had to be emptied again. That was through no fault of the owners...parents should be more respectful of other guests and the inconvenience this causes. Suggestion for the owners is to put a bigger and clearer sign up saying children under two must wear swimming diapers under their togs. Games room was great and also the tramp. Nice to see dogs being walked on lead around the park. Loved our stay and will be back. Thanks.”

“Camped here for a long weekend with friends. Can't fault this campground for the price. These days some campgrounds in nz charge through the roof for sub-par camping where I felt this was a great spot and great value for money. The cleanest bathroom facilities I've ever seen at a campground, loved the touch of music in the bathrooms and the showers were great! Kitchen facilities were awesome, BBQs were amazing they even had a pizza oven. They had games you could borrow for a gold coin, kayaks etc to hire. Great, safe location for kids. The customer service was great, there was a slight muck up with our site being changed upon arrival which was quickly sorted with no issue. Hard to find good quality spots like this these days! Will definitely be back 😊”

“We had a fabulous time at Athenree Hot Springs and Holiday Park. While we rented cabins, there were so many happy campers (and RV / van camping) and (well behaved) kids running around everywhere. Clearly everyone was having a great time! The common facilities were plentiful and clean, and we were surprised that there were kayaks for hire with just a small contribution toward maintenance. The property is so well maintained, everything super clean, all the staff very friendly and helpful and responsive to any question. We especially loved that this is really a place loved by locals, as we met folks visiting from all around the north island.”
