Best for scooter, bike and skate kids in Cambridge. A modern concrete park with a bowl, rails and quarter pipes, plus an asphalt pump track and jump track alongside. Free and unfenced, with a shaded spot for parents.

Amazing place for kids who loves cycling and skating

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

A good free hour for kids already confident on wheels, and the pump track means a child on a balance bike or scooter can have a go without mixing with the skaters in the bowl. It is unfenced and unsupervised, so younger ones need an adult within reach. Not worth a long drive on its own, but an easy add-on to a Cambridge day out.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Helmets are a must; the pump track and bowl are fast and hard-surfaced
⏰Beginners and balance-bike riders will get more out of the pump track than the skate bowl
🎟️Go early on weekends before the older crews arrive
πŸš—There is a shaded hangout spot for parents watching from the side

β€œWill be great after it’s been refurbished. Hopefully the council have the brains to leave the cctv going to prevent the vandalism by a sorry few who try to wreak it for lots of good crews that enjoy the facilities.”

β€œNot worth going out of your way for but good for a small town. If you're looking for a quick skateboard fix, in Cambridge and don't want to drive 30mins to Hamilton.”

Overview

Rebuilt and reopened in late 2022, the Cambridge Skatepark on Dominion Avenue in Leamington packs a lot into its concrete: a flow bowl, a stair set with a down rail, wedges, banks, a euro gap and quarter pipes, with a shaded hangout area alongside. The bigger draw for many families sits next door, where an asphalt pump track and a longer jump track loop into a shared bowl, so scooter and bike kids get a run of their own. It is free and unfenced, so younger children need an adult close by.
