We visited Chipmunks Rotorua during the school holidays, and it was an absolute lifesaver! I brought my kids along with my cousin’s kids, and they all had an amazing time. The facilities were clean, the play areas were safe and engaging, and it kept the group entertained for hours. It’s easily one of the best spots in Rotorua for a high-energy outing with children. Highly recommend it to any family looking for a fun, stress-free day out.

The easy answer for a rainy Rotorua morning with a toddler or preschooler, and because it sits inside Motion Entertainment, older siblings can be sent to the trampolines or bowling while the littlest ones play here. Bring socks, travel light since there are no lockers, and go on a weekday if you want the ball pit to yourselves.

“My kids (2yrs) and (4yrs) loved it! Very clean and new looking, they were busy for more than 2hrs, we were there until closing. They especially liked the little kids ball pit with the air tubes flying the balls up. They really liked the big slide too.”

“Great place for children of all ages. Grandson always has fun everytime we go. Unfortunately, there are no lockers for valuables. More often than not, I am unable to play at length with him due to the fact that I must keep an eye on our things. Other than that, café in-house for coffee and snacks. Toilet facilities for all and friendly staff”

Overview
Chipmunks Playland Rotorua is the franchise's local branch, tucked inside the Motion Entertainment complex on Te Ngae Road with its own entry. The play structure is built for ages 0 to 11, with a fenced under-fives area whose ball pit has air tubes that blast balls into the air, plus a big slide and climbing levels for older kids. There is a cafe for coffee and lunch, themed party rooms, and toilets on site. Socks are compulsory on the equipment and can be bought at the counter if you forget.
