The sauna and stream room became my sanctuary during the colder days. The gym is very well equipped also. The sauna could be a little hotter but it’s spacious and well maintained. The best thing is the location as you can run outside for a cold plunge in the ocean ! The spa pools are often closed which is a little disappointing but overall good price and worth it!

“I really dont think I am a shoe-phobic like most sports people and yogi people (did you notice they really freak out when you keep your shoes on entering their "sanctuary"?... ) however here i am really surprised as one is invited to walk along the pool with his shoes on to go to the changing room. That makes the sides of the pool really dirty. I would definitely reconsider that part !”

“I love it here, but can't say I appreciate the double standard that I was told to put my shoes on in the gym space (which I happily did, as I missed the signs saying shoes were a requirement) yet men are permitted to roam around without shoes. I (cynically) expect a certain amount of bro permissiveness at gyms, but a Council run place should hold itself to a higher standard.”

“Great swimming pool for lane swimmers, with a separate lane just for Aqua jogging. No children's pool 😀 There is also a full gym available with standard equipment. The exercise bikes look out over Oriental Bay/Yacht club, so a lovely view while exercising. Unpretentious gym.”
