π Parakai, Auckland
A newer playground built for all ages, with shaded spots for babies and inclusive equipment for neurodiverse kids. Right by Parakai's hot pools and hydro slide, so you can easily make a day of it.
This new playground is amazing! It caters to all ages and stages! Has a few things that cater to specific needs for neuro diverse kids which is fantastic!! Shade for the babies and toddlers in areas, great range of activities, great toilet facilities and also seating and BBQ areas too! This park has it all! A fantastic layout and design, the council got it right!!

βClose to Albany/North Shore. Friendly welcome staff! Lovely indoor pool, plastic table and chairs around with a kiosk that sells hot food and cold drinks. We enjoyed the rock pools and the slide...bit worn out and can do with some maintenance. Safety lifesaver on duty. Overall VERY NEAT and will be back!!β

βAlways an excellent experience visiting Parakai springs with my family. Best hydro slide in Auckland. Well spaced out between the indoor and outdoor pools. Staff are friendly. Place is clean. Great place for picnics and birthday celebrations. Will visit again during the winter season.β

βIts not crowded when we visited on a weekday during school holidays. Thereβs plenty of car parks outside. The receptionist (brae?) welcomed us with a big smile. The picnic areas are tidy and tables are clean. Rubbish bins are situated around the picnic areas. The pool is clean. Women changing area needs a bit of upgrade. Thereβs only 3 shower areas and big changing area. The cafe was neat. Tiptop ice creams were available. The slides are a bit worn but still working. You need to hire the bbq pit for a fee When you want to use it. Outdoor pool is 30deg, indoor pool is 40 deg. Thereβs an adult only rock pool after the cafe :) Overall its a good outdoor swimming pool and will recommend it to others :)β

Overview
The playground here is a recent build, with equipment spanning toddlers through to older kids and a few thoughtful pieces designed for neurodiverse children. There's shade over the baby and toddler areas, which makes a real difference on a hot day, and pram access throughout. It's right beside the Parakai hot pools, indoor and outdoor, with a kiosk selling hot food and cold drinks, so a lot of families turn a playground visit into a full swim day.
