I have been to this camp several times, I love it! I completely disagree with the people telling others to not trust their kids on camps. There are very kind and experienced guides and trainers that pair the kids in groups from age and your riding experience very well so you are able to be with your friends! They focus on your ability individually and let you do whatever's comfortable with your experience in riding. They are pretty laid back with the cabins and it's fun to talk about your day and what happened when you went riding on the bunks. when you wake up you can have breakfast and hang outside waiting for the people that don't stay overnight to arrive then start riding! Seriously recommend!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children and teenagers who want a genuine horse riding experience with proper instruction, from their first time in a saddle through to gaining canter confidence. The overnight camp format suits older children ready for an independent equestrian experience.

“Such an absolutely amazing experience here at Tasman. I have personally loved it here. At Tasman there are encouraging, understanding, coaches that allow you to reach your full potential while riding. These coaches are understanding, but also push you to get where you need to be as a Rider. Tasman supports young riders in an understanding and beginner, friendly way. They supply food, water showers etc. I have been coming to Tasman since I was seven and clearly, the coaches and owners are doing something right because I keep coming back.”

“Spent a lovely Saturday morning out for a 1 hour trek with Mel. She is a very lovely and cautious instructor and trek leader she made me feel very safe while out on the horse. Will be heading back for a longer trek next time. Highly recommend this place.”
