Underwater World
📍 Queenstown, Otago
Time Tripper at Main Town Pier sits five metres under Lake Wakatipu. A 30-minute session combines a time-travel cinema through dinosaurs and Māori legend with 15 minutes of live viewing of slinky eels, diving ducks and rainbow trout.
Nice little spot to get up close with the fish and the diving ducks. You can also feed them. Great to see some large eels too.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Kids who love dinosaurs and feeding animals respond well to the combination format. The eels and diving ducks deliver a genuinely close encounter at the underwater glass. The Main Town Pier location makes it a natural add-on to a day in central Queenstown. Not wheelchair accessible due to the two-flight stair descent.

“It is abit not worth for just how down to look for fish, which the fish was living in the lake. They have a paid feeder that u can see fish eating closely from the glass. See the bottom of the boat and thar's it.”
