1 / 3Odysseum Queenstown
📍 Queenstown, Otago
Odyssey Sensory Maze moves through light, sound and touch rooms for all ages. Arcadium adds Pac-Man and Street Fighter classics. Located on Shotover Street. Multi-entry passes available for repeat runs.
Went in last Saturday night and had a blast. It was quiet when we went in which was nice. The lady at the counter was super friendly and polite. The maze itself was super fascinating and I love how we could take our time going through. We ended up spending around 30 minutes in the maze. I think the pricing is a little expensive but not unusual for Queenstown. Would recommend.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with younger children experiencing a sensory maze for the first time, and those who treat it as a premium Queenstown splurge rather than a value activity. Groups who buy multi-entry passes and move slowly through each room get the most from it. Families expecting extended entertainment for the price will leave disappointed.

“Shout out to Grace who kindly helped my daughter’s birthday party. She really looked after us and made the experience memorable. My 11 yr old girls wanted to go through more than once so I suggest buying the multi entry pass! Thank you grace!”

“I went as a solo adult 🤣 it was a pretty neat experience! I could see kids really enjoying this, as well as people of all ages who are neurodivergent (in particular ASD, ADHD, etc) or who are just sensory seeking in general. There are some very dark/pitch black spaces, and one or two spaces that may not be suitable for people who get claustrophobic, however there is a sign at the start to let the staff know if you have anxiety etc and I believe they may be able to keep a bit of an eye on you. All in all I highly recommend, and I would recommend getting the unlimited for an hour session so you can go through as many times as you’d like, in case you miss something the first time. It is also super interactive!”

“We went as an adult duo - lots of fun while it rained outside to pass time. Took us about 15/20 minutes to get through, not slow and not fast. Loved the mirror maze and the balloon room. Some rooms we moved through faster than the others, and we moved along quicker when we heard people in the room behind us. We booked online and scored a half price adult ticket via their website. Only available for specific times though but that worked for us!”

Overview
Odysseum combines the Odyssey Sensory Maze — a sequential journey through themed light, sound and tactile rooms — with Arcadium's retro arcade lineup. Staff are consistently praised for reassuring nervous children in the dark environments. Most groups complete the maze in 15–20 minutes. Kids frequently want to go again, and multi-entry passes exist for that purpose. Birthday party groups are well-catered for by on-site staff.
