🏆 Family Action Verdict
A genuinely distinctive park that goes beyond standard playground equipment. The bird aviary delights children who rarely see brightly coloured birds up close, and the heritage gardens with giant climbable trees create an experience well apart from ordinary play spaces. Summer visits with the paddling pool open are the most rewarding.

“I've loved this park since I was a child. The Avery has brilliantly coloured parakeets and budgies and other little birds. There is new play equipment and the wading pool is well maintained. This is a shady park with huge old trees and a lovely windy path. Perfect for professional photography and weddings.”

“What a lovely park to visit. Has a bird sanctuary I never knew about, some beautiful coloured parrots; least I think they're parrots. Also, there are hidden rocks/stones for children to find, with messages on them-very cool, and a big thank you to whoever has taken the effort!”

“I love this park with its bird aviary, playground and band rotunda. Also has the best climbing trees.”

Woodham Park spreads across heritage gardens with three large lawn areas surrounding a sheltered children's playground. The aviary houses brilliantly coloured budgies, parakeets, and small birds children respond to immediately. Giant old trees provide deep shade and are popular for climbing.
