1 / 2Churton Park Reserve
đ Churton Park, Wellington
Churton Park Reserve is a free community playground in Wellington's Churton Park suburb. The reserve suits children across a range of ages, with good nearby parking and pram-accessible paths throughout. Free entry.
My nostalgia cries out to this place. Been going here since a kid, it is a little run down now, and something needs to be done to save it. Decor on the playground is faded, and scratched. Some playground equipment is broken, and some doesn't function as it should. Needs a full upgrade to bring people back to this gem of an area.
đ Family Action Verdict
Families appreciate the multi-age layout and the convenient parking. Reviewers note it has been a local favourite across generations, with enough variety to keep children of different ages occupied at the same time.

âIt's alright. Some of the kids play area needs an update / refurbishment. Nice large field to play on and a single basketball hoop, though its stuck in a corner where rain water pools creating a mini swamp around the hoop. Some idiot locals haven't figured out that the swings are for kids, not grown ups.â
